DESCRIPTION:Families USA with Vaccinate Your Family\, Infectious Disease Prevention Network\, and Southern Alliance for Public Health Leadership invites you to join our upcoming webinar\, Boosting Vaccine Access: Tools and Strategies for Advocates\, on Wednesday\, August 26 at 3 pm ET. Threats to vaccine access are escalating as the Trump Administration continues to increase distrust in our public health system. Last June\, Secretary Kennedy fired all 17 members of CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). The panel was replaced with vaccine-skeptical members who lack expertise. Six months later\, the panel voted to change the decades-long universal vaccine recommendation for a Hepatitis B birth dose for newborns\, despite no known benefit to delaying the first dose. Efforts to dismantle vaccine recommendations and access remain rampant. \nAlthough changes at the federal level impact vaccine access\, there is a unique opportunity for advocates to protect access at the state and local level. In this webinar\, we will unveil Families USA’s new vaccine advocacy toolkit to provide advocates with tangible steps to protect vaccine access in your community.
