DESCRIPTION:The California Immunization Coalition (CIC)\, in partnership with the Sacramento Valley Immunization Coalition (SVIC)\, invites healthcare professionals and community partners to an upcoming Education Hour exploring strategies to create more accessible\, supportive\, and successful vaccination experiences for neurodivergent individuals and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). \nFeaturing Katharine Harlan Owens\, MSN\, RN\, PHN\, Program Manager of The PATH Program at the UC Davis MIND Institute\, this webinar will highlight practical approaches to reducing barriers to vaccination\, including partnering with families to develop individualized pre-visit care plans\, adapting clinical environments to accommodate patient needs\, and implementing supportive strategies to improve vaccination experiences. \nWho Should Attend: Nurses\, physicians\, pharmacists\, medical assistants\, vaccinators\, public health professionals\, clinic and healthcare staff\, community partners\, and anyone interested in improving vaccination accessibility for neurodivergent individuals.
