The Science of Vaccine Communication: Research to Practice

Join AIM for an engaging session focused on strategies for building vaccine confidence through evidence-based and effective vaccine communication. Attendees will gain practical insights that can be used to communicate intentionally, build trust, and support vaccine confidence in their communities.

Xiaoli Nan, PhD, a professor in the department of communication at University of Maryland, will share her findings on the evolution of vaccine communication research. These findings include current research gaps and considerations for the future of vaccine confidence research, and emerging communication tools and strategies.

Elisabeth Marnik, PhD, a science communicator and immunologist, will discuss principles of effective science communication, provide tools for building trust and engagement, and share valuable communication tips for public health professionals.

The webinar will also feature a fireside chat with both speakers and will be facilitated by former Alaska immunization program manager, Laurel Wood.
