Mid America Immunization Coalition
Description
The Mid-America Immunization Coalition (MAIC), founded in 1992, is a program of Nurture KC, established as the only immunization coalition serving metro Kansas City. Led by a steering committee of community advocates, public health department leaders, physicians and nurses, MAIC serves the entire metropolitan area through immunization education, awareness, advocacy and direct service. The counties served are: Jackson, Clay and Platte, MO and Wyandotte and Johnson, KS.
Mission
Founded in 1992, Mid America Immunization Coalition (MAIC) works to ensure that all of greater Kansas City's children, adolescents, and adults will be protected against vaccine-preventable diseases. We build collaborative community partnerships that increase public awareness about the importance of immunizations, improve access to immunization services for metropolitan area families and provide a network for individuals and organizations who have a stake in immunizations.
