National Adult and Influenza Immunization Summit

Description

NAIIS consists of over 700 partners representing more than 130 public and private organizations. Summit participants include a wide range of professionals from the healthcare industry, public health and private medical sectors, vaccine manufacturers and distributors, consumers, and others interested in stopping transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases among adults. Broad-based leadership of the NAIIS is conducted through the members of the Summit Organizing Committee, while general activities are chosen and conducted through three workgroups (i.e., Access and Provider, Influenza, and Quality & Performance Measures.)

Mission

The Summit serves as a catalyst for bringing together partners who take specific actions that will lead to improvements in vaccine uptake, such as through reducing barriers for payment, increasing access to vaccines and vaccinators, and raising awareness of adult immunization recommendations.

Goals

Within the general context of the mission, the goals of the Summit are chosen by the workgroup members and are dynamic in nature. The currently chosen goals are available on the individual workgroup pages (www.izsummitpartners.org/naiis-workgroups/).
