Immunization Coalitions Network News

Network News – April 9, 2012

Greetings, coalition members and friends. Two upcoming events for coalitions!

Please save the date! May 1, IZCoalitions Network conference call

The Immunization Action Coalition invites you to participate in a 1-hour IZCoalitions Network conference call on Tuesday, May 1, at 2:00 pm ET (1:00pm CT).
These calls are held every 6-8 weeks and feature national experts speaking on topics of interest to coalitions. Because these calls have proven to be very popular (more than 100 participants), we wanted to give you plenty of lead time to add it to your calendar.
We will circulate the agenda and call-in information later in April.

Reminder! The 2012 National Conference on Immunization and Health Coalitions

The 2012 National Conference on Immunization and Health Coalitions "Jazzing Up Partnerships the Big Easy Way," will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 23-25, 2012. The conference, hosted by the Louisiana Shots for Tots Coalition, will open with a look at how far we have come in twenty years of working in partnership to raise immunization coverage, both nationally and in our local communities, and then continue with ideas and support to protect Americans of all ages against vaccine preventable diseases.
This year's conference features best-selling author Seth Mnookin, trailblazing Former Arkansas First Lady Mrs. Betty Bumpers, and a variety of nationally-recognized subject matter experts. In addition, national and local immunization experts, advocates, and coalition representatives will address topics ranging from vaccine exemptions and legislative advocacy to effective uses of social media and the latest research on various vaccine issues. New ideas and effective programs from around the country will be presented, and the conference offers the opportunity to meet and talk with individuals who have experienced the same issues you and your organization are facing. For more information, to review the program, or to register for the conference, go to

We hope you will be able to take advantage of these opportunities!
